Our View | Thumbs for Saturday

October 19, 2013

Thumbs up: To “The Little Black Dress Goes Pink” benefit outing and fashion show for the Pennsylvania Pink Zone, held Thursday evening at Seven Mountains Wine Cellars. Green always goes with pink when fighting breast cancer.

Thumbs up: To ClearWater Conservancy, Celeste Newcomb and Jeffrey Bower for winning awards for supporting the Centre Foundation’s mission of helping local groups with endowment funding. The trio were honored Thursday at the foundation’s annual dinner.

Thumbs down: To whoever stole two 3-foot-tall concrete lion heads from the driveway of a Gregg Township home. We’ve heard of cat burglars, but that’s ridiculous.
