From CDT staff reportsOctober 23, 2013

— Sarah Torres and Jessica Bressler each had five aces a piece to lead Bald Eagle Area to a win over Bellefonte 25-12, 25-11, 25-18 on Tuesday in a Mountain League girls’ volleyball matchup.

“We served very effectively,” Lady Eagles coach Larry Campbell said. “I thought we played a little better than we did at their place. Offensively, we got it going. Its a good time of the year to get that offense going.”

Nicole Doroschenko had 14 kills, while Kiki Miller added seven more for BEA (12-5, 11-3 Mountain League). Bressler dished out 24 assists and Tylor Yarrison had 11 digs for the Lady Eagles, who will play Central Mountain on Wednesday night.

Jordan Carr and Cassie Book each had three kills for the Lady Red Raiders (4-12), who saw their season come to a close.
