Penn State women’s volleyball: Nittany Lions sweep Ohio State

— Deja McClendon led the No. 2 Penn State women’s volleyball team to a 25-9, 25-11, 25-16 romp against No. 24 Ohio State on Dig Pink night at Rec Hall on Wednesday.

The Nittany Lions (17-2 overall, 8-1 Big Ten) won their eighth straight in league play.

McClendon had a team-high 10 kills on .500 hitting and added nine digs, two blocks and a season-high two aces. Ariel Scott added nine kills and five blocks. Nia Grant matched a season-high with six blocks. Setter Micha Hancock directed the Nittany Lion offense to a .333 hitting clip, dishing out 23 assists. Hancock added 11 digs, three aces and three blocks.

PSU limited the Buckeyes (14-7, 2-7) to a -.030 hitting clip, surrendering less than 10 kills.
