iOS 7 upgrade impacts iPhone app users

Digital/Mobile ManagerOctober 24, 2013

Dear iPhone users:

Our iPhone apps are not functioning for users who upgrade their iPhones to iOS 7.0.3. The apps either crash or lock up at the splash screen. In the meantime, we encourage you visit us via your mobile browser at www.centredaily.com.

Alternatively, users who do not upgrade their iPhones to iOS 7.0.3 will continue to be able to find content using our iPhone app. We expect this outage to continue into next week, as there is a multi-day lag between submission to Apple and approval.

iOS 7.0.3 is a minor update that Apple released Wednesday, in which Apple pulled support for the font HelveticaNeue-Italic, a font that our iPhone apps rely on. The release was not made available to developers ahead of time. Consequently our mobile developer, Verve, did not discover the bug in time. Blackberry Instant Messenger for iPhone, or BBM, is among the other high profile apps affected by this.
