October 25, 2013

The Altoona Water Authority is advising customers in Hollidaysburg and Freedom and Blair townships not to consume water from the tap.

The authority said Friday it has received a vague threat that may affect the water supply. Though there is no apparent sign of contamination, customers are being advised out of an abundance of caution.

Also affected are the Foot of Ten and William Penn Highway areas. Duncansville customers are not affected. For more information, visit or call 949-2540.
