Letter to the editor | Re-elect Goreham

October 28, 2013

We will be voting to keep Elizabeth Goreham mayor of State College. She has poured her heart into making State College a better place to live.

Quality of life in the borough, for the present as well as for future generations, guides her decision-making. She has a strong commitment to sustainability and the protection of natural resources. She knows that green spaces and bikeways contribute to property values. She believes in encouraging entrepreneurship. Her values reflect the values of the community.

Goreham has worked tirelessly with council, staff, permanent residents, and students to address issues of neighborhood stability, preservation and fair housing. She understands why it is important to help families and young professionals find affordable housing within the borough.

Goreham listens. We have seen her invest time and energy in building new relationships, bringing people together, and representing the best of State College.

She is friendly, supportive, open, and welcoming — essential qualities for someone serving as mayor.

Goreham has earned our votes. We ask you to join us in supporting her re-election.
