Mount Union is second in the standings and having a huge turnaround after going 2-8 last fall.

The Trojans have been on a roll since falling 20-6 to state-ranked Bellwood-Antis. They’ve topped the 50-point mark three times and won 27-25 over Tussey Mountain (7-2) last week.

Mount Union gets it done with balance. The Trojans are averaging 178 yards rushing and 125 yards passing per game.

Dylan Smith leads the ground game with 661 yards and 11 touchdowns on 100 carries.

Quarterback Trevon Walker’s 58 completions have gone for a remarkable 1,010 yards and 15 touchdowns. His favorite target is BJ Loner, who has eight touchdowns among his 14 catches. Loner has caught a scoring pass in seven games.

The Rams are coming in off a tough 43-21 loss against Tyrone. The Golden Eagles took control of a competitive game with 29 points in the second quarter.

Penns Valley got a huge game from running back Taylor Collison against a tough Tyrone defense. Collison rushed for 180 yards on 24 carries and scored all three Ram touchdowns.
