When will the will of the Bellefonte people count?

Hundreds in the Bellefonte community and the downtown merchants have expressed their desire to save the Garman Theatre. (Have you seen “Save the Garman” signs in downtown businesses?)

Yet four Industrial Development Authority members and three Historical Architectural Review Board members (two of whom don’t even live in Bellefonte) have made the decision to tear down the Garman.

There is a disconnect between Bellefonte Borough officials and the Bellefonte community and downtown merchants.

Sheila Knupp Stever is running for Bellefonte Borough Council from the North and Northeast ward. She hopes to connect that disconnect.
