Former Marion Township supervisor Archie Gettig will regain his seat in January.

Gettig defeated incumbent Jack Aberegg in Tuesday’s election by a tally of 82-62, according to unofficial results.

“I’m looking forward to getting back into the township,” said Gettig, who was on the Board of Supervisors from 1984 to 2009.

Getting will rejoin the board at its organizational meeting in January. He said his priorities will include maintaining the roads in the township, especially during the winter.
