Newcomer George Downsbrough joins Patton Township supervisors with incumbent Elliot Abrams

Political newcomer George Downsbrough Jr. received enough votes to make it onto the Board of Supervisors, according to Tuesday’s unofficial election results.

Thirty-year incumbent and Democrat Elliot Abrams received 1,123 votes, or 45 percent, and Downsbrough, a Democrat, received 788, or 31 percent, to take the two available seats. Republican incumbent Josh Troxell received 606 votes, or 24 percent.

Abrams and Downsbrough were not available for comment late Tuesday.
