State College police: Fraternity shed fire being investigated as ‘suspicious’

State College police are investigating a suspicious fire that destroyed a storage shed on a fraternity’s property shortly after 4 a.m. Friday.

Police said the fire at Alpha Gamma Rho, 322 Fraternity Row, was “suspicious” and that a cushioned chair was used to ignite it. When police arrived, they found the storage shed on fire.

Police said that a fraternity member saw three men in the vicinity of the shed right before the fire was discovered. Police described the men as white and of college age.

Anyone with information about the fire is asked to call police at 234-7150
