UNIVERSITY PARK — The Penn State women’s volleyball team dominated Indiana in a three-set sweep Saturday night at Rec Hall.
In a match that took a mere 1 hour, 6 minutes, the No. 2 Nittany Lions swept the Hoosiers 25-16, 25-11, 25-11 for their 13th straight win.
Deja McClendon’s nine kills on .643 hitting paced the offense, which was .427 as a team. Katie Slay added six kills and five blocks, Megan Courtney had five kills and four blocks, Micha Hancock posted 26 assists and eight digs to go with three aces and Dominique Gonzalez had seven digs.
Jordan Haverly’s eight kills led the Hoosiers (10-16, 1-13), who hit minus-.023 and were outblocked 15.5-1.
The Nittany Lions (22-2, 13-1) hit the road for two big matches next weekend, visiting No. 16 Wisconsin on Friday and No. 9 Minnesota on Saturday.
