Penn State women’s ice hockey: Syracuse tops Nittany Lions in OT

— Jessica Sibley scored 1:27 into overtime Sunday afternoon to give Syracuse a 4-3 win over Penn State at Pegula Ice Arena.

Kendra Rasmussen, Taylor Gross and Amy Petersen all scored for the Nittany Lions (2-9-1, 0-4 CHA), with assists for Madison Smiddy, Jill Holdcroft and Hannah Hoenshell.

Akane Hosoyamada, Nicole Ferrara and Danielle Leslie netted goals for the Orange, with Leslie’s score tying the game with 6:06 left in regulation.

Syracuse outshot Penn State 55-23, with Celine Whitlinger turning aside 51 shots for the Nittany Lions, who visit RIT on Friday.
