— A football that bounced off the upright is the difference in this one so far as Nebraska leads Penn State 7-6 at halftime at Beaver Stadium.

Penn State quarterback Christian Hackenberg finished an eight-play, 40-yard drive with a two-yard touchdown pass to tight end Adam Breneman before kicker Sam Ficken missed the extra point. Nebraska responded with a seven-play, 91-yard scoring drive capped by a 27-yard touchdown pass from Ron Kellogg to Quincy Enunwa.

Bill Belton is not suited up for Penn State with an illness. Running back Zach Zwinak has 68 of Penn State’s 159 first-half yards. The Nittany Lions get the ball to begin the second half.
