Kansas City, MO (SportsNetwork.com) - Cameron Ridley scored 19 points and pulled down nine rebounds as the Texas Longhorns captured a 77-59 win over the DePaul Blue Demons in a consolation matchup of the CBE Hall of Fame Classic at the Sprint Center.

Also scoring in double figures for the Longhorns (5-1), as they bounced back from their first loss of the season on Monday to BYU, were Isaiah Taylor with 14 points and the trio of Demarcus Holland, Jonathan Holmes and Kendal Yancy with 10 points apiece.

The Blue Demons (3-3) were paced by Cleveland Melvin who tallied 15 points, but shot just 4-of-14 from the floor. Brandon Young tacked on 14 points and Billy Garrett 11.

Texas shot a disappointing 1-of-7 behind the 3-point line in the first half, but made up for it with a perfect 10-of-10 effort at the charity stripe, en route to a 39-23 advantage at the break. The Blue Demons made a total of just eight field goals through the first 20 minutes of play.

In the second half the Longhorns backed off of their attack out on the perimeter, taking just two 3-point tries and hitting one, as they cruised to the 18-point win.

Texas forced 15 turnovers and doubled-up on the glass, 40-20, the Horns clearing almost as many offensive rebounds (18) as DePaul had rebounds overall.
