Our View | Thumbs up, thumbs down for Tuesday

December 3, 2013

Thumbs up: To the organizers of Sunday’s Taste of the Town event, which supported the Centre County United Way, to the 300 people who attended and to the local eateries represented. Guests enjoyed appetizers, main dishes, desserts and beverages for a good cause.

Thumbs down: To whoever burglarized at least three State College-area residences over the Thanksgiving break. Police said the criminals broke locks, making off with TVs, game systems and other items. Police are seeking help with the investigations at 877-99CRIME.

Thumbs up: To the more than 100 State College Area High School graduates who got together Friday for the annual Turkey Bowl fundraiser for scholarships. This year, players honored two State High grads who died this year, Brandon Ream and Jeremy Wise.
