Our View | Thumbs up, down for Friday

December 6, 2013

Thumbs up: To Penn State wrestling fans, who will be 15,000-strong in a sold-out Bryce Jordan Center on Sunday for a dual meet against Pittsburgh. What great support for both the sport and the three-time defending NCAA champion Nittany Lions.

Thumbs down: To the Bellefonte man who was charged with drunken driving twice in two hours last week. Police say he was pulled over on East Bishop Street in Bellefonte, and two hours later, they say, he was stopped again. And charged again.

Thumbs down: To Pittsburgh Steelers coach Mike Tomlin, who was fined $100,000 for stepping onto the field during Thursday’s game against the Baltimore Ravens. That makes Tomlin’s “embarrassing, inexcusable” misstep a pretty pricey one, too.
