Girls’ volleyball: State College players earn All-State honors

State College’s Christine Irwin and Taylor Leath were named the the Pennsylvania Volleyball Coaches Association All-State team recently. A total of 50 players throughout the state made the squad.

Irwin, a 5-foot-10 outside hitter, led Lady Little Lions with 88 aces and was second with 236 kills and 185 digs. Irwin will play collegiately at Juniata.

Leath, a 6-foot-3 outside hitter, led the Lady Little Lions with 384 kills and 223 digs and was second on the squad with 42 blocks. Leath will play collegiately at North Carolina.
