Police seeking help with Mountain Top Mine theft investigation

— Police are seeking information related to the theft of $7,700 worth of items from the Mountain Top Mine site off Phoenix Road.

The thefts occurred from Nov. 16 to 18.

Items with an estimated value of $5,000 that were the property of Amfire Mining Co., Clearfield, include two solid metal doors (hood covers) from a Komatsu 375 dozer, two perforated doors from the same dozer, miscellaneous plates and two axle covers.

Items with an estimated value of $2,700 that were the property of Forsyth Drilling Inc., DuBois, include a 24-inch chain wrench, a 24-inch J wrench, a 24-inch breakout wrench, an 18-inch hammerbit and an 18-inch tricone bit. Forsyth items were from three drilling rigs parked at the site.

State police are asking that anyone with information about the missing items call 342-3370.
