High school girl’s basketball: Penns Valley pulls away from Philipsburg-Osceola

— Penns Valley got scoring from up and down its lineup to pull away from Philipsburg-Osceola 61-42 on Wednesday.

Mackenzie Ironside led the Rams (2-0) with 11 points while Karli Ripka and Kourtney Beamesderfer added 10 points each for Penns Valley. All but one Penns Valley player scored for the Rams.

“It was a total team effort. The girls played hard,” Penns Valley coach Andrea Borland said.

Abby Showers led Philipsburg-Osceola (0-2) with 20 points in the loss. Both teams return to action on Friday.
