High school girls’ basketball: State College beats Central Dauphin East, improves to 2-0

December 14, 2013

— Kyla Irwin and Bridget King each tallied double digits in scoring to lead State College over Central Dauphin East 52-37 on Friday night.

King had a team-high 14 points and Irwin chipped in 13 for the Lady Little Lions (2-0), who went 17 for 22 at the free throw line in the fourth quarter alone.

“We started out really strong,” State College coach Bethany Irwin said. “Everything was clicking and then all of a sudden they slowed it down and took us out of our rhythm. It’s a great win for us and we will learn from this one.”

Michaela Galbaugh led the Lady Panthers with a game-high 17 points.
