Girls basketball: State College cruises to win over Carlisle

— State College had four players score in double figures as it blew past Carlisle 78-29 on Monday night.

Kyla Irwin led the Lady Little Lions (3-0) with a game-high 25 points, followed by Margee Lenze (11), Bridget King (14) and Jalyn Shelton-Burleigh (10).

“I was really pleased with the kids,” State College coach Bethany Irwin said. “We know that Carlisle is young but our kids played well off the bench. Everybody really hussled out there tonight and it was a very good team effort.”

Alex Shope led the Thundering Herd with seven points.
