Penn State football: Robinson earns Steele All-American honor

— Allen Robinson continues to pull in honors after a spectacular season saw him break multiple Penn State receiving records.

Robinson earned his third first-team All-America selection as he was named to Phil Steele’s first team. Overall it was the seventh All-America selection this year.

Previously, Robinson had been anmed a first-teamer by CBSSports.com and The SPorting News, a second-teamer by the FWAA, SI.com and Athlon Sports and a third-teamer by the Associated Press.

Senior guard John Urschel earned his second All-America nod as he was chosen to Steele’s fourth-team.

Robinson was also named to Steele’s All-Big Ten first team. Urschel and defensive tackle DaQuan Jones were named to the second team. Senior linebacker Glenn Carson, sophomore cornerback Jordan Lucas, junior defensive end C.J. Olaniyan and sophomore tackle Donovan Smith were named to Steele’s third team.
