State College police investigate TV thefts

From CDT staff reportsDecember 25, 2013

State College police are investigating reports of two burglaries on Christmas Eve at 619 W. College Ave.

Lt. Brad Smail said reports came in at 11:24 a.m. and 4:16 p.m. of an unknown person or people who stole televisions from two apartment units.

The value of the stolen items was unknown, but Smail said the suspect forced him or herself into the units.

“Incidents like this are up this time of year, but we usually see people who take things like phones, money or small electronics, or Christmas gifts,” Smail said.

“We’re heightening our awareness all holiday long,” he added.
