PennDOT issues winter weather travel advisory for Centre, Clearfield and Clinton counties

From CDT staff reportsDecember 31, 2013

Drivers are urged to drive cautiously Tuesday as snow squalls move through the area.

The state Department of Transportation said winds and squalls throughout the day may cut down on visibility.

Squalls may be very strong in the Interstate 80 and Interstate 99 corridors in Centre, Clearfield and Clinton counties.

PennDOT advises drivers to plan for extra travel time, put extra space between themselves and other vehicles, and reduce speeds as conditions require.

Motorists can visit or call 511 from any phone to check traffic conditions before taking to the roads.
