Letter to the editor | High praise for O’Brien

January 3, 2014

It is with mixed feelings that we bid farewell to coach Bill O’Brien.

O’Brien has exemplified a wise choice on the part of those who selected him, and he is a man of courage for having accepted the position as Penn State’s head football coach under difficult circumstances.

He has more than fulfilled his assignment and deserves unlimited accolades for his accomplishments in the football arena and in the Penn State tradition, and he is an honorable human being.

I thank O’Brien and have good wishes for his future.
