Penn State women’s hockey: Ohio State shuts out Nittany Lions

COLUMBUS, OHIO The Penn State women’s hockey team gave up two first period goals to Ohio State and that would be plenty in a 4-0 loss on Saturday.

The Nittany Lions held the Buckeyes to just eight shots in the first period but Kari Schmitt and Ally Tarr’s found the back of the net.

Ohio State outshot Penn State 32-18, while holding the Nittany Lions to just four shots in the second period. Danielle Gagne and Taylor Kuehl scored the two other Buckeye goals.

Shannon Yoxheimer led Penn State with four shots.
