Campus Corner: Big win lands Bellefonte’s Port big honors at Edinboro

For the CDTJanuary 7, 2014

Mitchell Port made it easy for the folks who select the Wrestler of the Week for the Eastern Wrestling League and the Pennsylvania State Athletics Conference.

All the former Bellefonte wrestler did was go out and win the prestigious Midlands Tournament last week, raise his record to 14-0 this season and his national ranking to No. 1 at 141 pounds.

Nobody topped that.

Port went 5-0 at the Midlands, recording bonus points in four of his five bouts on his way to winning the title.

The junior will return to action this weekend when the Fighting Scots participate in the Virginia Duals.
