High school girls’ basketball: Cumberland Valley ousts State College

— Cumberland Valley Maddie Torresin’s 14 points led four teammates in double figures as Cumberland Valley rolled in the second half to beat State College 70-44.

Kelly Jekot (13), Meghan Rhoades (12) and Taylor Sneidman (11) all scored in double figures for the Lady Rams (9-2), who outscored State College 37-20 after the half.

Kyla Irwin notched 23 points, while Bridget King added 11 for the Lady Little Lions (7-3).

“We just missed opportunities,” State College coach Bethany Irwin said. “We have situations where need to capitalize.”

The Lady Little Lions will host Central Dauphin at 7:30 p.m. Friday in their annual Pink game.
