Flyers F Rinaldo out with ankle injury

The Sports NetworkJanuary 9, 2014

Philadelphia, PA (SportsNetwork.com) - The Philadelphia Flyers announced Thursday that forward Zac Rinaldo is expected to miss six weeks with a high ankle sprain.

The injury was apparently sustained in a 3-1 home win over the Montreal Canadiens on Wednesday, in which Rinaldo registered his first goal of the year. If the timetable for recovery is accurate, the feisty winger will not return until after the NHL returns from its Olympic respite.

Rinaldo, 23, leads the club with 101 penalty minutes in just 44 games this season.
