Ice hockey: State College earns road win over Upper St. Clair

— Luc Michael scored twice and Chris Rodgers netted the game-winner as State College skated to a 4-3 win over Upper St. Clair at the Ice Castle on Thursday.

The Little Lions (5-6-1) never trailed and were clinging to a 3-2 lead when Rodgers took the puck just across the center line and slid the puck the rest of the way for an empty-net goal with 1:03 remaining. Andrew Moscone and Robby Waite assisted on the winner.

Austin Cassidy scored 41 seconds later, also with an empty net for USC, to bring the margin back to one. Jake Reinheimer netted the other two goals.

Jared Karas scored the first State College goal, while Petr Horgos and Glenn Wild had assists and Chris Rosselot made 22 saves for the win.
