Information for death notices and obituaries is submitted by funeral homes. Families who wish to submit information concerning an out-of-town death directly to the newspaper must provide the name and telephone number of the funeral home. Decker — Margaret Moerschbacher Decker died Saturday. Visitation 6:30 - 8 pm Friday, Wetzler Funeral Service, Burial Mass 9:00 am Saturday, Jan. 18, St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church.


Kern — Dustin M. Kern, 43, of rural Bellefonte, died Monday. Service 1:00 p.m. Saturday, Yarnell United Methodist Church. Funeral Arrangements are under the direction of the Dean K. Wetzler Funeral Home.


Lee — Georgette Lee, 42, died Jan. 10, 2014. Family will receive friends from 6pm until 7pm at the Wetzler Funeral Service Inc. in Bellefonte, with a memorial service to follow at 7pm.


O’Brien — Elsie Schultz O’Brien, age 94, died Jan. 9, 2014. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., Friday from 7-9 p.m., where funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11:00 a.m.


Kanagy — Elmer Lee Kanafy, Jr., age 12, died Jan. 10, 2014. Service will be held Monday at his home, 181 Brown Rd., Rebersburg. Arrangements are under the care of Steven R. Neff F.H., Millheim.


Briscoe — Marion Briscoe, 83, died Saturday, January 11, 2014, at Mount Nittany Medical Center, State College. Arrangements will be announced by Koch Funeral Home when completed.


McGeary — Kathryn Evans McGeary, 83, died Dec. 22, 2013. Memorial Service 3:00 p.m. Jan. 19, 2014, at the State College Presbyterian Church. Arrangements entrusted by Koch F.H., State College.


Weber — Ruth Eaton Weber, 54, died in Pittsburgh on December 12. Service 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 18, State College Presbyterian Church, visitation to follow, Nittany Lion Inn. Koch Funeral Home entrusted.
