High school boys’ basketball: State College rally falls short

— Central Dauphin East used a big second quarter and held on in the second half to edge State College 52-51 on Tuesday.

It was the fifth-straight loss for the Little Lions (1-13). The Little Lions led after one quarter but were outscored 22-15 in the second.

Dwight Whitlock led all scorers with 23 points for the Panthers. Derrick Biney added 12.

Michael Beattie led State College with 12 points, while Bryce Williams netted 11.
