January 17, 2014

No injuries were reported in an accident Thursday on state Route 64 near the Interstate 80 interchange in Clinton County.

State police at Lamar reported that the 17-year-old driver of a 2002 Chrysler Sebring failed to stop for a red light at the Dotterer’s Road intersection and struck a tractor-trailer entering the northbound lanes of Route 64 at about 3:25 p.m. The Sebring’s front-end was pinned under the trailer, driven by Tim Gulliford, 46, of Union City, Calif.

Neither driver was injured, and a 16-year-old passenger in the Sebring also was unhurt, the police report said.

The driver of the Sebring was cited.
