The drivers’ names were not released, but Lt. Brad Smail said one man was involved in an accident. No injuries were reported.

Upon further investigation, police found the man was drunk and had been involved in an accident at an unknown location. Police believe the driver hit a traffic sign.

Police said a 23-year-old man was pulled over for unsafe driving near the 200 block of North Atherton Street at 3:02 a.m., and minutes later, a 20-year-old woman was stopped at South Allen Street near the Beaver Avenue intersection for unsafe driving.

Both were found to be intoxicated.
