Penn State police: Sexual assault reported on campus

Penn State police are investigating a report of a sexual assault on campus Saturday.

Police said a student was reportedly attacked on the sidewalk along West College Avenue, south of Hammond Building between 2 and 2:30 a.m. Saturday. The victim knew the attacker, police said.

No other details were available about the suspect.

Anyone with information that might aid in the investigation is asked to contact university police at 863-1111; 26 Eisenhower Parking Deck on campus; or anonymously at www.police.psu.edu.

Tips can also be submitted to Centre County Crimestoppers at tip@centrecountycrimestoppers.org. Those who provide information that leads to an arrest may be eligible for a reward.
