From CDT staff reportsJanuary 19, 2014

— State College attempted 25 free throws on Saturday and hit 20 of them to come out with a 65-60 overtime win over Holy Redeemer.

“The free throws really helped us,” Lady Little Lions coach Bethany Irwin said. “We went 11 for 12 in overtime. It was a really good game. We might have been phyiscally and mentally drained from preparing for four games this week but it was a fun game to be a part of.”

Franki Treglia and Bridget King were perfect from the line while Jalyn Shelton-Burleigh was 5 of 6 and Kyla Irwin was 8 for 10. Irwin led State College with 24 points, while Shelton-Burleigh also had double digit scoring with 13.

Alexis Lewis led the Royals with a game-high 31 points.
