UNIVERSITY PARK — Penn State’s Aaron Russell was named co-Player of the Week by the EIVA on Tuesday.
The junior outside hitter had 12 kills and 10 digs in the No. 12 Nittany Lions’ three-set win over No. 14 IPFW on Friday, then registered a season-high 21 kills with four digs and a block in a four-set win over Ball State on Saturday to earn his fifth career conference honor.
He shared the award with Mike Kresch of St. Francis.
Penn State (3-2) has the weekend off before hosting Mount Olive on Jan. 31.
