PHILIPSBURG — Behind Karli Ripka's 15 points, Penns Valley held on after building an early lead to knock off Philipsburg-Osceola 50-44 Tuesday night.
The Lady Rams (9-5) were up a comfortable 29-15 at halftime before seeing the Lady Mounties rally, taking advantage of some tired legs as Penns Valley played its third game in four nights.
“We came out strong,” Lady Rams coach Andrea Borland said. “The girls were tired, but they worked hard and they played well together. P-O played a strong second half.”
Abby Showers’ 14 points, Haylee Hayward’s 12 and Katie Meersand’s 10 paced P-O.
