Boys basketball: Bald Eagle Area suffers fourth loss in a row

From CDT staff reportsJanuary 25, 2014

— Bald Eagle Area’s week got a little longer on Friday as it dropped a Mountain League boys’ basketball game to Central 64-58.

“We’ve just got to find a way to get out of this skid,” Eagles coach Bill Butterworth said. “We played 15 quarters of basketball this week. We aren’t playing terrible, its just teams are spreading us out and slowing us down. We went from averaging 70 points a game down to 50.”

The Eagles suffered their fourth loss in a row even though they got 19 points from Bryan Greene. Brandon Gettig added 11 points for the Eagles.

Zach Slagenweit led the way for the Scarlet Dragons with a game-high 25 points.

“We’ve got to get back to business,” Butterworth said. “Hopefully, next week we can get it turned around and get a couple of wins.”
