PennDOT reduces speed on I-80

From CDT staff reportsJanuary 25, 2014

The state Department of Transportation reduced the speed to 45 mph Saturday on parts of Interstate 80 in central Pennsylvania.

The reduced speed will affect exit 19B in Mercer County to Exit 192 in Clinton County.

PennDOT also urges motorists not to drive in winter weather conditions. But those who do so should allow plenty of space when driving near plow trucks and to avoid passing a truck while it is plowing the road. PennDOT also reminds motorists to pack an emergency kit with nonperishable food, water, a blanket, shovel and warm clothes.
