Penn State women’s ice hockey: Syracuse skates past Nittany Lions

SYRACUSE, N.Y. Penn State suffered a 3-0 loss to Syracuse on Saturday afternoon in Tennity Ice Pavilion, sweeping the two-game weekend series.

Margo Scharfe, Melissa Piacentini and Allie LaCombe found the net for the Orange (14-9-2, 6-4-2 CHA), while Jenesica Drinkwater made 16 saves for the shutout.

Nicole Paniccia made 35 saves for the Nittany Lions (4-19-2, 1-11-0), who visit Princeton on Tuesday.
