High school wrestling: Philipsburg-Osceola places second in New Oxford Invitational

— The Philipsburg-Osceola wrestling team had two champions and a runner-up en route to a second place finish in the 28-team New Oxford Invitational on Saturday.

The Mounties finished with a team score of 175.5 and trailed champion Boiling Springs by 21 points. New Oxford, Southern Columbia and Line Mountain rounded out the top five.

Bryce Bennett (106) and Nick Gray (220) won individual titles and Chris Thompson (113) came home in second. A trio of P-O wrestlers finished in fourth: Dakota Weitoish (132), Nick Patrick (160) and Dennis Lumadue (182).

Caleb Shively (145, fifth) and Dallas Kephart (160, sixth) were other place winners for the Mounties.
