From CDT staff reportsJanuary 31, 2014

A Tyrone man was injured Thursday morning when his vehicle crashed into a tree along South Mountain Road in Taylor Township, state police said.

Police said Andrew Golden, 29, will be cited with speeding and not wearing a seat belt.

Police said the road was slippery and caused Golden’s vehicle, a 2008 Suzuki SX4, to travel from the northbound lane to the southbound lane and hit the tree.

The vehicle sustained severe front-end damage, police said.
