Fonda’s Foundlings to hold cat adoption event at Petco in Patton Township

From CDT staff reportsJanuary 31, 2014

Fonda’s Foundlings, a nonprofit cat rescue organization, will hold its Cat Extravaganza event from 2 to 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Petco store in Patton Township.

The local organization, founded in 1998 but in the process of closing after rescuing 1,553 cats, is attempting to find homes for its remaining 56 cats. All have been spayed or neutered, have had shots and been wormed, and have been tested for leukemia and FIV disease.

In addition, all of the cats live freely in a home environment where they interact with people and other cats. Some of the cats are bonded to each other and should be adopted together. In those cases, the adoption fee for a pair would be the same as for a single cat.

Each adoption will come with a free gift as well as a health report. For more information, call 238-4758.
