Police: Rockview inmate assaulted by other prisoners

A 52-year-old Rockview state prison inmate suffered injuries Friday when he was assaulted by three other inmates, state police at Rockview said.

Police said the man was jumped after leaving his cell for the evening meal. The three men punched and kicked him, and he suffered a stab wound in the right shoulder, police said.

The investigation is ongoing, police said.
