High school boys’ basketball: Penns Valley gets big night from Jackson to overpower Central

— Will Jackson scored a career-high 29 points to lead Penns Valley to a 41-34 win over Clearfield on Friday night.

The Rams (16-3) trailed by one after the first quarter before recovering to take a four-point halftime lead. The Rams still led by four going into the fourth and held off Clearfield (4-14) for the win.

Zach Engle added eight points for Penns Valley. Jackson went 11-for-13 from the foul line en route to his career night.

“He worked his butt off and did a great job at the free-throw line,” Rams coach Terry Glunt said.
