High school boys’ basketball: Michael Beattie helps lift State College to rare win

— Michael Beattie hit six 3-pointers and scored 25 points to lead State College past Chambersburg 57-51 in a Mid Penn Conference Commonwealth division game on Friday night.

The Little Lions (2-19) and Trojans (3-18) went into the fourth quarter tied at 34, and State College outscored Chambersburg 23-17 in the final period to earn the win.

Alex McCann scored 11 points for State College.

Stanley Flores led the Trojans with 18.
