Penn State women’s hockey: Nittany Lions drop overtime contest to Lindenwood

— After they entered the third period in a two-goal hole, the Penn State women’s hockey team mounted a comeback to force overtime where they dropped a 4-3 decision to Lindenwood on Sunday at Pegula Ice Arena.

Amy Petersen got the scoring started for Penn State (4-22-4, 5-10-1) but Lindenwood (5-21-2, 1-13-2) scored the next three goals, with two of them coming on the power play. Laura Bowman and Jordin Pardoski score back-to-back goals just under nine minutes apart in the third period to force overtime.

Kendra Broad won it for Lindenwood with a goal 3:20 into overtime.

Nicole Paniccia made 21 saves for Penn State.
