High school wrestling: Penns Valley gets past Bald Eagle Area late

— Penns Valley put on a spectacular finish to Monday’s meet and the end of the regular-season schedule.

Trailing by six points with three matches left, the Rams rolled off three straight wins, two by falls, to upend Bald Eagle Area 41-32.

With the Eagles up 32-26, Curtis Decker pinned Cobey Bainey at 120 pounds to tie the match, Jared Hurd put the Rams in the lead with anotehr pin at 126 against Jacob Noll, and Jacob Confer finished the rally and the night with a 1-0 decision over Garrett Proctor.

Seth Decker also earned a win by fall for Penns Valley, while Corey Hazel picked up a technical fall.

Clint McCaslin and Michael Kachik scored pins for BEA, with the latter giving the Eagles that 32-26 lead, and David Gawryla won by technical fall.
